Rumi always felt she was a mistake.

Born from a demon father and a hunter for a mother, Rumi was caught between two worlds. As a hunter, she was destined to fight demons and ensure the world's survival from the demons. Celine, her adoptive mother, raised her to hide her demon markings and hide the truth of herself as much as she can until the fabled Golden Honmoon can be reached and Rumi could be allowed to rest. Allowed to be herself.

This made Rumi a reticent person. While her warmth and compassion is real and true, especially for her fans and her bandmates, she puts many walls up, constantly in fear of the truth coming out and being ostracized by all that she loves. Her singing makes her bold and powerful and Rumi channels those feelings into helping others, into the cause because the cause is more, the cause is hope, the cause will save the world. And save herself.

While being inherently kind and sweet, that does not make Rumi a door mat. She has her own edge where she can lose her temper if she feels needled or belittled and often take it to extreme degrees if she feels she's losing control over the situations. Her songs may hold her true feelings, but in conversations, she often holds back and struggles to make her own thoughts known, holding herself back constantly.

And though, she's come a long way. Falling in love, losing love and accepting her demon markings and who she is, Rumi is still trying to make sense of who that person is and what she is on her way to becoming.

What she does know, however, that she no longer fears herself. And she will accept whatever changes come her way.
